Man killed after struggle with officers: "Vallejo police shot and killed a Richmond man early Saturday after an electric Taser gun failed to subdue him, police said.
'That's not supposed to happen,' said Vallejo police Lt. Reginald Garcia. 'It's supposed to knock you to your knees.' Taser guns fire a small dart, which is connected to the weapon with a line that delivers a debilitating electric shock.
Police say they are not sure why the weapon did not subdue the man, identified as Kevin Laron Smith, 27." Contra Costa Times

Suspects in stabbings won't face charges : "Solano County District Attorney's office will not press charges on two Vallejo men arrested last week in connection with a fatal stabbing on Travion Court weeks ago.
According to jail officials, authorities released Eugene Ashby, 23, from Solano County Jail on Friday.
Although Victor Jose Rivera, 26, remains in jail on a parole hold, he is no longer charged in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Saul Yepez outside an apartment building, said Correctional Officer Keith Bloomfield, a spokesman for the Sheriff's department." Fairfield Daily Republic
